Author Guidelines
Everything you need to know about publishing your assets on IconsGeek, from our quality standards to how you get paid.
1Platform Policy
IconsGeek is committed to providing a high-quality library of icons, illustrations, and stickers for designers and developers worldwide. As an author, you are expected to adhere to the following policies:
- Originality: All uploaded assets must be 100% original and created by you. Plagiarism, copying, or modifying other creators' work without permission is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination.
- Quality Standard: Assets must be professionally designed, with clean vector paths, proper layer organization, and scalable formats (SVG).
- Exclusive & Non-Exclusive: You are free to sell your assets elsewhere (non-exclusive), but ensuring your pricing on IconsGeek remains competitive is highly encouraged.
- Appropriate Content: Assets containing offensive, illegal, or discriminatory content will be rejected.
2Upload & Approval Process
To ensure our library maintains a premium standard, all uploads go through a manual review process by our curation team.
1. Upload
Upload single icons or use our bulk CSV import tool (minimum 25 icons). Ensure categories and tags are accurate.
2. Review
Our team will review your submission for quality, originality, and correct metadata within 3-5 business days.
3. Publish
Once approved, your icons immediately go live and become available to thousands of IconsGeek users.
3Commission System
We believe creators should be rewarded fairly for their hard work. Our commission structure is transparent and highly competitive.
70% on Individual Purchases
When a user buys your premium icon or icon pack directly, you earn 70% of the sale price. The remaining 30% covers payment processing, hosting, and platform maintenance.
Subscriber Pool Payouts
When a user with a Pro Subscription downloads your premium icon, you receive a flat royalty fee per download (e.g. $0.05 per download). This allows you to generate passive income from our power users.
Withdrawals
Earnings are calculated at the end of each month. Once your balance reaches the $50 minimum threshold, you must submit a withdrawal request from your dashboard. Payment methods: PayPal for global users, and for Indian authors it can be PayPal or Bank Transfer. All withdrawal requests will be processed within 3 to 5 working days.
